Our mischievous miscreants have been released to nurse their sore backsides, and it's back to business as usual for PC Blake, Dr Hyde, and the Magistrate. Theoretically. Trouble is, they're all a little unaccountably hot under the collar… It transpires that there's been a little corruption in this courtroom: some unprofessional behaviour, even some impure designs on the judicial equipment. It's Dr Hyde who proposes the experiment, ever a devotee of the scientific method: why not find out what more this experience has to offer?

PC Blake and the Magistrate both take their turn over the bench, with Dr Hyde making less effort than ever to conceal her excitement. It turns out these three are just as brutal when the proverbial gloves are off – especially when PC Blake asks to find out what a real birching might be like!
